The Ordinary 100% Niacinamide Powder
Description
Niacinamide, also known as Vitamin B3, is a well-studied, multi-faceted active ingredient that is well-known for its numerous skin benefits. It aids in the balance of visible sebum activity and the production of components that are essential to the structural and functional integrity of the skin.
The Ordinary's 100 percent Niacinamide Powder provides the most direct topical exposure of Niacinamide to target visible shine, enlarged pores, and irregular skin texture. This powder format provides a do-it-yourself experience that allows users to customize their usage based on their preferences. In comparison to the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% solution, this powder format provides the user with the flexibility to combine the benefits of Niacinamide with the benefits of other non-conflicting technologies (such as Peptide serums) to address multiple skin concerns at once.
Contraindications: We do not recommend using Niacinamide in conjunction with topical Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid, Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid, and Vitamin C derivatives). If you use Vitamin C in your skincare routine, we recommend applying it at different times with this formula (ideally Vitamin C in the PM and this formula in the AM). Furthermore, we do not advise dissolving Niacinamide Powder in Direct Acids. For assistance in selecting suitable dissolving bases, please refer to the Mixing Guide.
Ingredients:
Niacinamide.
How to use:
In the morning and/or evening, combine a quarter scoop of the spoon provided with a water-based treatment in the palm of your hand and apply to the face. Avoid contact with the eyes; if contact occurs, thoroughly rinse with water. Hands should be washed after handling. Mix with formulations that have a pH of 5 or lower. If irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly, discontinue use, and consult a physician. Only use as directed on undamaged skin. Patch testing is recommended prior to use. Keep out of children's reach.
Mixing Guide: Niacinamide, in its purest form, is highly water-soluble and easily dissolves in water-based products such as serums and creams. The Ordinary's 100 percent Niacinamide Powder can be mixed into any non-conflicting, water-based treatment as long as the base's pH is between 5.0 and 7.0. When it comes to selecting a water-based base to mix with this formula, The Ordinary brand has several options. These include the following:
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
“Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1%
Matrixyl 10% + HA
Argireline Solution 10%
