The No.2 Bond Perfector is NOT a conditioning treatment, but rather a bond multiplier.

No. 2 is not an option. No.2 is required after every single service when using Olaplex because it is a system. No.1 is intended to help mitigate damage during the coloring, lightening, and relaxing processes, but it cannot prevent all of it. If it did, there would be no visible result. No.2 does not function as an activator, neutralizer, sealer, or conditioner. The active ingredient in No.2 is the same as in No.1. No.2 finds more single sulfur hydrogen bonds and cross links them back together without the use of color, lightener, or relaxers.

At the shampoo bowl, this is the second step of the OLAPLEX system.

How to use:

1. After all processing has been completed and rinsed, apply.
2. Apply liberally and thoroughly comb through.
3. Leave on the hair for at least 10-20 minutes. Remember that the longer you leave it on, the more effective it becomes.
4. (If Applicable:Toner) If you are not supposed to shampoo your toner out, you will use No.2 before it. If you are not instructed to shampoo, rinse highlight, apply No.2 for 10-20 minutes, shampoo thoroughly- or TWICE (issues with toners not taking are due to hair not being thoroughly shampooed), and then apply your toner, rinse, and condition. If you can shampoo a toner out (depending on your brand), then rinse highlights, apply toner, process, rinse and apply No.2, process for 10-20 minutes, shampoo and condition as usual.

Additional uses for No.2 Bond Perfector:

• While your client's base color is being processed, apply liberally to dry or damp hair from mid-shaft to ends as an additional treatment. This is also an excellent method for preparing hair for a double process prior to highlights.
• As a cutting lotion.
• Use in place of clear or conditioner in direct dyes to dilute down.
