The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque 50ml

Salicylic Acid 2% Masque is designed to address dull skin tone and textural irregularities. The formula, which contains charcoal and clays, is intended to improve the appearance of smoothness and clarity while leaving the skin feeling refreshed. Salicylic acid's structure promotes lipophilicity and miscibility with lipids found on the skin's surface. It is an appropriate ingredient for removing dead skin cells on the surface of oily and blemish-prone skin in order to reveal more radiant skin beneath. Because of their porosity and large surface area available for adsorption, charcoal and clays are ingredients renowned for their deep cleansing abilities. They aid in the removal of facial impurities that would otherwise clog pores if they remained on the skin's surface. In comparison to Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, Salicylic Acid 2% Masque is a rinse-off formula. Leave on for no longer than 10 minutes in order to maximize the exfoliating benefits.

Contraindications: This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Please see the provided Directions for more information on sun protection and other precautions.

Note: While exfoliating acids can provide immediate visible results, we generally recommend using indirect forms of skin exfoliation rather than direct forms such as this formula due to the potential for inflammation and sensitivity associated with acids.

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Squalane, Glycerin, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Silica Cetyl Silylate, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Polyacrylate, Pentylene Glycol, Charcoal Powder, 4-T-Butylcyclohexanol, Sclerotium Gum, Acacia Senegal Gum, Xanthan Gum, Phytic Acid, Polysorbate 20, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol.

How to use:

Apply once or twice a week to clean, dry skin. Do not apply to wet skin. Using your fingertips, apply evenly across your face, avoiding the eye area. Allow no more than 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse with lukewarm water. Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Avoid contact with the eye contour and contact with the eyes during application and rinse off. Patch testing is recommended prior to use: apply the product as directed to a small area once a day for three days to see if you are allergic to it. If you experience severe irritation, hives, swelling of the eyes and mouth, blistering, or difficulty breathing, immediately rinse off, discontinue use, and consult a physician. Keep out of children's reach.

Sunburn Alert: This product contains a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
