The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2 percent Anhydrous Solution is a waterless product designed to exfoliate the skin and aid in the decongestion of pores. Direct acids, specifically alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), are well-known for promoting the natural shedding of dead skin. While AHAs are designed to promote superficial exfoliation, Salicylic Acid (SA), a lipophilic BHA, is especially effective at targeting oil within the pores, which can cause congestion. The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2 percent Anhydrous Solution contains salicylic acid in a squalane base, which has been designed to reduce the risk of skin irritation associated with the use of SA.

Squalane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Pentylene Glycol, Salicylic Acid, Oleic/Linoleic/Linolenic Polyglycerides, 4-t-Butylcyclohexanol, Hydroxymethoxyphenyl Decanone, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

 

Apply in the AM and PM. For general use, apply a small dot to the target area or a small amount all over the face. Use with caution on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Avoid eye contact and the eye contour. Patch testing is recommended prior to use: apply the product as directed to a small area once a day for three days to see if you are allergic to it. If you experience irritation, hives, swelling of the eyes and mouth, blistering, or difficulty breathing, immediately rinse off, discontinue use, and consult a physician. Keep out of children's reach.
