Pediatric doctors believe that your baby's skin is particularly sensitive and has a low resilience to skin irritants1. Using baby ointments free of substances that may disrupt your baby's fragile skin barrier can help protect his or her skin and seal out dampness that might cause diaper rash. Pediatric dermatologists advise parents to look for baby ointments that have substances that help maintain the protective skin barrier, such as ceramides1 and hyaluronic acid. A baby ointment based on petrolatum can help protect baby's skin from external wetness while trapping in moisture.
CeraVe Baby Healing Ointment was created in collaboration with pediatric doctors to aid in the prevention and treatment of diaper rash. This baby ointment for diaper rash with petrolatum provides a protective coating that helps seal out dampness and protects baby's skin. CeraVe Baby Healing Ointment, which contains three vital ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E, soothes baby's skin and helps maintain its protective skin barrier. This fragrance- and lanolin-free baby healing ointment protects small diaper rash skin irritations and can be used before or after diaper rash irritation begins.
