This waterless solution contains 0.2% pure Retinol, an ingredient that can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, photo damage, and general skin aging. While Retinol has been extensively studied, it is irritating to the skin, and there are newer technologies that mimic the visible effects of Retinol without causing skin irritation. As a result, instead of this formula, we generally recommend using Granactive Retinoid 2% or Granactive Retinoid 5%.

Caution: In the early stages of treatment, retinol can cause significant irritation, redness, and peeling, particularly around the eyes and mouth. If you have not previously used high-strength retinol formulas, we strongly advise you to begin your retinol regimen with our Retinol 0.2 percent in Squalane and gradually progress to higher strengths of Retinol 0.5 percent in Squalane and Retinol 1 percent in Squalane as your skin develops tolerance. You will achieve the same results without the unpleasant redness and peeling that comes with it.

Note: Water can have an impact on the stability of retinol. Furthermore, plant oils in retinol formulations can cause lipid peroxidation and compromise retinol integrity. This product does not contain water, silicones, plant oils, or alcohol.

How to use:

Apply a small amount to your face as part of your skincare routine in the evening, after water-based serums but before heavier treatments. Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected exposure to the sun. Caution: In the early stages of treatment, retinol can cause irritation, redness, and peeling, particularly around the eyes and mouth. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. Only use as directed on undamaged skin. Patch testing is recommended prior to use. Keep out of children's reach. After opening, keep refrigerated.
